We have heard of burnout. If you work in the medical field you have certainly heard about it and likely felt it since the pandemic started two years ago. “ADHD Burnout” is often something a little deeper.
It refers to the cycle of overcommitting and overextending that leads to fatigue in people with ADHD. It involves taking on too many tasks and/or commitments, and then the subsequent exhaustion that happens when we’re unable to fulfill all of our obligations.
But why is burnout so prevalent in our community especially? On this episode I chat with you about WHY burnout happens to US so frequently and ways in which to alleviate it.
